Welcome to the group! Hopefully you will pick up some tips that will be helpful to you. The best advice I have for you is to get some experience before you graduate. I understand that time is tight, but even if you can do a couple of hours of volunteer work in a clinic during semester, it will be a big boast to your chances of finding employment after you have graduated.
What is the practical compontent of your course like?
I must admit that the course I am currently doing is crap when it comes to practical, then again, to get into the course you must be working in a vet clinic, so they expect a lot of it to be taught on the job.

the courses i'm taking right now are really good, the program i'm in has been going since 78. Alot of the instructors are vets or vet techs and bring in their experience to us. They do recommen to work in a clinic if possible, so i'm going to try and find one, that i can go to.
Its also a small school, and the instructors...a lot of them work in a hospital or clinic, when their not at school. And from that the give us examples of what their talking about that helps us understand more.
